NFL could reportedly meet with Antonio Brown multiple times to discuss case

Antonio Brown met with NFL officials on Thursday for the first time to discuss the sexual assault and misconduct allegations against him, but there is a strong possibility that the lengthy meeting will not be the only one between the two sides.

Brown and the NFL met for several hours in Miami on Thursday, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Media said the location was noteworthy since players who meet with the league about investigations into their behavior typically do so at the NFL offices in New York. Rapoport said that could mean there will be at least another meeting, and the investigation may not be “at the end or even close to the end.”

It seems highly unlikely that Brown will play again this season. The NFL has yet to give any indication of what — if any — disciplinary action he is up against, and the league could still place him on the commissioner’s exempt list in the event that a team signed him for the stretch run. That is why Brown has expressed frustration and unloaded on the NFL on social media.

Brown is facing sexual assault allegations from his former friend and trainer, Britney Taylor, in addition to sexual misconduct allegations from a second woman whom he hired to do some artwork at his house. The NFL is trying to investigate all of the incidents, which could take quite some time.
