Report: NFL not planning to move 2021 draft even if college season is delayed
College football is intending to play a season this fall, but there has been some talk of delaying the season to the spring if needed. One possible issue with delaying the season is a conflict with the NFL Draft, which takes place in late April.
According to USA Today’s Dan Wolken, based on college football’s inquiries, the NFL has no interest in moving its draft.
One nugget I picked up today. College football officials have quietly inquired with the NFL about whether they’d be willing to push back the 2021 draft in the event of a spring season. Unsurprisingly, the NFL isn’t interested

The NFL did not make tweaks to its league calendar when it came to free agency and the draft earlier this year despite some desires to do so, so it’s not too surprising that they wouldn’t be interested in making this sort of change.
The NFL has a league calendar that works for them, and they want to stick to it.
