NFL will review Josh Brown situation given new information
The NFL says it will reopen its review of the Josh Brown situation in light of new information in the case.
Initially, the NFL suspended the Giants kicker one game related to his domestic violence arrest last year. Charges were dropped in that case five days after Brown was arrested.
On Wednesday, information from a file put together by the King County Sheriff’s Office was released, and it shows that Brown, in emails, personal journals, and counseling sessions, admitted to repeatedly beating his wife.
The NFL said in a statement released Thursday that they did not have this information when evaluating Brown’s case. They say they will review the matter and consider whether or not Brown should receive a harsher punishment pursuant to the league’s Personal Conduct Policy.

In August, Brown said he disagreed with the NFL’s one-game suspension.
