Nick Sirianni seemingly got into it with Eagles fans after win

Nick Sirianni talking back to Eagles fans

Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni seemingly had some words for fans at the end of Sunday’s 20-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

FOX cameras caught Sirianni seemingly chirping at some fans with under a minute left in the fourth quarter, once the Eagles had clinched a victory. The head coach could be seen putting his finger to his ear and then barking something in the direction of the stands while gesturing fairly aggressively.

Eagles fans had been getting on the team a bit during what was a fairly unconvincing win over a Browns team that came in at 1-4. The team was booed at the end of the first half when the Browns blocked a field goal and returned it for a touchdown, and “fire Sirianni” chants could be heard at times.

Sirianni can rightly point to a Week 6 win, but it was in unconvincing fashion against a bad team. The offense did not put a ton of points on the board, though they did tally 372 yards of total offense and did not turn the ball over. Philadelphia fans think they have a Super Bowl contender and want to see the team put up bigger numbers against the Browns.

Ultimately, this dissatisfaction has been lingering for a while, as Eagles fans have been frustrated with Sirianni dating back to last season. Some of his on-field decisions have only opened him up to further criticism. It probably isn’t a great look for the coach to be responding this way, especially since he has previously talked about needing to be calmer on the sideline during games.
