One Green Bay Packers player added extra spice to his team’s rivalry matchup Sunday against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis.

Packers safety Xavier McKinney spoke to reporters Friday ahead of Week 9’s marquee showdown between the top two teams in the NFC North. McKinney called the Lions out for trying to humiliate teams during their current five-game winning streak.

The Lions have blown out their opponents by an averaged margin of 19.6 points per game and haven’t been shy to try some trick plays once the game gets out of hand.

“In my opinion, I think they try to embarrass people,” McKinney told reporters.. “And I think this organization and the players we have in here, they don’t really take that lightly. And we know that’s what they’re going to come here and try to do. … Me, personally, I’m not a big fan of that, trying to embarrass someone. I don’t really respect that. It is what it is.”

The Packers are on a four-game winning streak of their own. But Green Bay’s victories have been far from lopsided, with three of the four decided by five points or fewer. If the Packers win on Sunday, they will have sole possession of the NFC North division lead.

However, the murky injury status of Packers quarterback Jordan Love could complicate things for Green Bay.
