Pacman Jones praises Cowboys OL: My daughter could run through those holes
The Dallas Cowboys have the best offensive line in football, and the unit’s tremendous play on Sunday made life easy for quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott. Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones took note of how dominant his opponent was in the trenches.
Prior to Sunday’s game, Jones said the Cowboys’ O-line is so good his daughter could run through some of the lanes they open up. After Dallas throttled his team, Jones felt no differently.
“They was better than I thought,” Jones said, per Jori Epstein of The Dallas Morning News. “I tip my hats off to that. Now I see why [Jerry Jones] has got $100 million to his line. Those guys block their asses off and like I said last week, some of the holes my daughter could have ran through today.
“So you’ve got to take it on the chin, suck it up and good players find a way to bounce back.”
Jones clarified that he did not mean for his remarks to sound like a shot at Elliott, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on just 15 carries. Pacman’s point is that the Cowboys’ O-line is just that good.
Dallas has spent big on its offensive line, which is one of the reasons they were willing to let this star player walk after an All-Pro season. If you can establish the run game and protect your quarterback, winning in the NFL becomes a lot easier. That is a big part of why the Cowboys are 4-1 with a rookie quarterback at the helm.
