The struggling Carolina Panthers could be in for major changes as their season looks a lot less promising than it once did.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Panthers owner David Tepper has grown increasingly frustrated as the team has lost three consecutive games to go from 6-2 to 6-5, and is considering significant changes because of it. One of those changes could well be head coach Ron Rivera, whose in-game management has apparently frustrated Tepper in recent weeks.
The first-year owner is also concerned that the Panthers’ front office is too old school and in need of more analytics, and is beginning to feel, barring a late recovery, that a major shake-up is necessary.

It may well be that decisions like this one erode ownership’s trust in Rivera and make Tepper think long and hard about making a change. The Carolina job would be a hugely attractive one, so some major decisions are clearly looming.
