Patrick Mahomes re-aggravates ankle injury against Texans

Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes has been battling an ankle injury for much of the season, and he appeared to tweak it again during the first half of the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Mahomes took another shot to his left ankle early on and appeared to be limping on several plays. He also made some uncharacteristically inaccurate throws and was not moving well in the pocket. The star quarterback threw an interception and coughed up a fumble after his ankle was rolled up on.

Though he has not missed any time, Mahomes initially injured his ankle in the first game of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has had it heavily taped since and tweaked it on more than one occasion.

Mahomes has still be making some of his typical jaw-dropping throws, but mobility has clearly been an issue for him while the injury lingers.
