The Las Vegas Raiders will need to lean on a new starting quarterback after Gardner Minshew’s injury on Sunday.
Minshew slammed into the ground violently during the Raiders’ Week 12 game against the Denver Broncos at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. You can watch the play that injured Minshew here.
The 28-year-old QB left with just three minutes remaining in the contest and did not return. Desmond Ridder replaced Minshew to close out the 29-19 Raiders loss.

Minshew was later diagnosed with a broken collarbone and is expected to be out for the rest of the season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Through 10 games (9 starts) this season, Minshew has thrown for 2,013 yards with 9 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The Raiders have a 2-7 record in games which Minshew has started.
Aside from Ridder, Las Vegas also has Aiden O’Connell as a potential option to take Minshew’s place as the starter.
With a starting QB vacancy emerging in Las Vegas, some have already pointed to recently released New York Giants QB Daniel Jones as another candidate. But based on Jones’ reported preference, that may not be very likely to happen.
