Oakland Raiders rookie Maurice Hurst plans to keep the side job he had while attending college.
Prior to being selected in the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft, Hurst was a standout at Michigan under Jim Harbaugh. While in Ann Arbor, Hurst worked as an Uber driver to make extra money. As of now, Hurst has no plans to stop driving people around.
The most interesting thing I learned at Raiders practice today: @mohurstjr told me he still plans to drive Uber while he’s in the NFL, just like he did at Michigan.

Hurst has been working for Uber for a while now and is apparently a pretty good driver. He shared a screenshot on Twitter that seems to show he is rated a 5-star driver.

Hurst was expected to be a first-round selection. However, he slipped in the draft due to a heart condition that forced him to leave the NFL Scouting Combine early.
At least nobody can say that Hurst isn’t a hustler.
