The Baltimore Ravens had a Week 1 victory snatched away from them Sunday in a stunning collapse against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y.

The Ravens led the Bills 40-25 after Derrick Henry unleashed a 46-yard touchdown run with under 12 minutes left. Ravens kicker Tyler Loop missed the extra point, which proved to be extremely costly later in the contest.

After the two teams traded punts, the Bills got an answered prayer with about four minutes left. Josh Allen’s red zone pass was deflected into the hands of wide receiver Keon Coleman for a touchdown to cut the lead to 40-32.

The Ravens were still firmly in the driver’s seat at that point with an 8-point lead and possession with under four minutes to play. But that changed quickly when Derrick Henry fumbled two plays into the drive.

The Bills scored a touchdown and failed to convert on their 2-point try. But Buffalo’s defense was able to force a quick three-and-out, leaving the 40-38 game in the hands of Allen with 1:26 left on the clock.

It was more than enough time for Allen to carve up the Ravens’ defense and get the Bills within field goal range. Buffalo kicker Matt Prater drilled the game-winning kick as time expired.

The Bills scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to steal the win away from the Ravens.

The Bills fan who got shoved by Lamar Jackson was probably feeling a lot better after watching the Prater field goal go through the uprights.
