
The Washington Redskins are the team that claimed Reuben Foster off waivers.
Foster was waived by the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday morning following his domestic violence arrest at the team’s hotel in Tampa the night before. The arrest was Foster’s second of the year for domestic violence, with the same woman making both accusations. The woman recanted her February allegations, which led to the charges against Foster being dropped. The linebacker was later suspended two games by the NFL for weapons and drugs arrests.
Foster had 29 tackles in six games this season. He has dealt with a concussion, shoulder, and hamstring injuries.
Washington will now wait and see whether the NFL decides to punish Foster for a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy. They may try to play the linebacker until that point comes, similar to what Seattle did with Mychal Kendricks.
