The Cleveland Browns are playing things cautiously with Myles Garrett and appear to be giving him an extra week to recover from his ankle sprain.
Garrett has been out since early September after hurting his ankle days before the team’s season debut. He practiced in limited fashion this week, leading to some hope that he would be able to make his NFL debut on Sunday against the Bengals.
Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot says Garrett is expected to be held out in Week 4 in hopes of making his debut in Week 5.
If Garrett does play in Week 5, his debut would come against the New York Jets at home.
Cleveland is 0-3 this season. The defense is 26th in the league in points allowed and 12th in yards. They only have six sacks as a team — a number Garrett could certainly boost.
