The Seattle Seahawks saw a concerning injury take place just days before Super Bowl 60 against the New England Patriots.

Rookie safety Nick Emmanwori suffered an ankle injury at practice on Wednesday, putting doubt into whether or not he could go on Sunday. On Thursday morning, Seahawks safety Coby Bryant eased those concerns with just a few words.

“Yeah, yeah. He’s good. He’s good,” Bryant said with Mike Salk and Brock Huard on the Seattle Sports Show.

According to ESPN, several players and coaches went to comfort Emmanwori on Wednesday after he suffered the injury, but Bryant sure made it seem like his teammate is good to go for the Super Bowl.

Emmanwori is an NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year finalist, and he has been a huge part of the success of the defense.

Shortly after Bryant’s comments, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald also eased concerns with his update on Emmanwori’s status.

Mike Macdonald says Nick Emmanwori's injury is a low-ankle sprain.

"Fully expect him to play," Macdonald said.

Emmanwori was selected in the second round after playing college football with the South Carolina Gamecocks. In the regular season, Emmanwori had 56 solo tackles with 2.5 sacks and an interception, and he has six solo tackles with four pass deflections in the postseason so far.

For now, it seems like Emmanwori avoided a serious injury, at least according to Bryant’s comment.

The Seahawks and Patriots will face off in the Super Bowl on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., with kickoff at 6:30 pm ET.
