Report: Rob Gronkowski, Sony Michel not locks to play vs. Packers

Rob Gronkowski

The New England Patriots are getting set for what could turn into a shootout with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, and they may have to find a way to keep pace with Aaron Rodgers without the help of two of their most important offensive players.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski and running back Sony Michel are both listed as questionable, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that there is “concern” about each player’s status.

Michel missed last week’s game after suffering what looked like a gruesome knee injury the week before, but it was not as serious as initially feared. He did have knee problems over the summer, however, and the latest injury is to the same knee.

While Gronkowski already missed a game because of his back acting up, a report from earlier in the week indicated it is actually a different injury that is giving him the most trouble. He hasn’t looked healthy all season, so there’s a chance the Patriots may want to hold him out again.
