After news surfaced on Sunday that longtime ESPN anchor Stuart Scott had passed away at the age of 49, Rich Eisen delivered an extremely emotional tribute to his former colleague and close friend. Later in the day, Eisen honored Scott by reading highlights from the Bengals-Colts game like Stu would have read them.
Eisen used many of Scott’s famous catchphrases like “boo-yah!” and “as cool as the other side of the pillow.” It was a great way to pay homage to the unique style that millions of sports fans have grown to love over the past two decades.
Scott’s fearless delivery changed the way we look at sports news. Eisen’s highlight tribute was a great reminder of that.
