Richard Sherman, Colin Kaepernick still wearing Beats by Dre headphones
The NFL may have to work a little harder to enforce their ban of Beats by Dre headphones.
As we shared with you on Sunday, the league has a sponsorship deal with Bose as its audio provider. The deal is supposed to prevent Beats by Dre headphones from receiving all the free publicity that come when main endorsers — Richard Sherman and Colin Kaepernick — wear them during interviews.
Despite the rules that were publicized Sunday, Beats headphones still got plenty of publicity in Week 5.
Sherman was wearing his pink breast cancer awareness Beats headphones pregame on Monday night:

And Kaepernick was wearing his during his postgame news conference on Sunday:

It’s unclear whether players are allowed to wear whatever headphones they want during pregame warmups since those aren’t interviews. However, postgame news conferences are definitely considered interviews. Perhaps Kaepernick gets a pass because he covers the logo with tape.
