Rob Gronkowski talks up 1 AFC QB once again
Rob Gronkowski has yet to make a decision on whether he will play in 2022, but if he does, there seems to be one quarterback he is fixated on.
In a Q&A with Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, Gronkowski was asked which quarterbacks other than Tom Brady he would be interested in playing with. The tight end once again named Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
“I love the way Joe Burrow presents himself on the field. Regardless of the outcome, the Super Bowl was a great game and he left his best out there,” Gronkowski said. “I’ve watched him since college, he’s confident in the pocket, and he just slings it out into the play. I love his swag, he’s killing it right now and I think we’re going to see a bright future ahead for him.”
Notably, this is the second time Gronkowski has named Burrow when asked that question. In fact, the virtues Gronk cites here are very similar to what he said in his first answer, so he clearly feels pretty strongly about the Bengals quarterback.
While Gronkowski still has not made a firm decision on his future, he has been linked to other teams regardless. If he does decide to return, the Bengals might be worth watching just because of these repeated comments.
