Attorney files motion to block release of Robert Kraft spa video
Robert Kraft has been charged with solicitation of prostitution in a sex trafficking sting in Florida after he was allegedly seen on video receiving illegal sex acts at a massage parlor, and lawyers are trying to prevent that footage from ever being made available to the public.
Law enforcement officials said the video that led to Kraft’s arrest could be released as early as this week, but ESPN’s TJ Quinn reports that an attorney has filed a motion to block that.
The latest on Kraft: looks like if the video evidence is released, it won't be soon. Law enforcement originally said it could be as early as this week, but a defense attorney filed a motion to block it, putting everything on hold. There will likely be a hearing to decide. 1

The argument from the defense attorney, who does not represent Kraft but likely represents someone else in the case, is that police should not have been able to obtain a warrant to record video footage of the men who were charged with solicitation of prostitution.
The attorney, Richard Kibbey, who said he does NOT represent Kraft, is arguing that police never should have been able to get a warrant for video surveillance if it's a human trafficking case and the Johns weren't charged with trafficking. 2

Kraft vehemently denied having engaged in any illegal activity after the allegations first surfaced, but there is a belief that he will not fight the charges because the footage cannot be disputed. However, things could take an interesting turn if lawyers can successfully argue that the videos never should have been taken in the first place.
