New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh had a tense exchange with a reporter following his team’s loss to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night.
A disappointing season continued for the Jets as they were blown out 37-20 by the Browns at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. After the game, ESPN’s Rich Cimini asked Saleh to describe his emotions since the coach did not seem all that angry.
“Do you want me to throw the podium on the floor?” Saleh responded sarcastically.

Saleh is obviously frustrated with how the season has gone, even if he is not one to outwardly express it. The Jets entered the year with Super Bowl aspirations after acquiring Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade. Rodgers then suffered a torn Achilles on New York’s first offensive drive of the season.
To make matters worse, the Jets chose not to re-sign Joe Flacco last offseason. The 38-year-old quarterback has been on an absolute tear with the Browns and helped them clinch a playoff berth with Thursday night’s win over the Jets. That led to everyone making the same joke about Saleh and his team.
If Saleh is not angry about the Jets being 6-10, someone should probably check his pulse.
