Tom Brady has been forced to fight the NFL and his Deflategate suspension from behind enemy lines, but that didn’t stop New England Patriots fans from showing up to support him in New York on Wednesday. And by support Brady, we mean bash Roger Goodell enthusiastically.
As you can see from the video above that the New York Daily News posted on YouTube, Brady supporters (or Goodell haters, or both) showered the NFL commissioner in boos and called him a “liar” as he walked into court in Manhattan.
“You’re a liar! The liar has arrived!” one fan could be heard yelling.
The same fans shouted things like “don’t settle, Tom!” as Brady was making his way into the courthouse.
Goodell’s public image took yet another hit last week when the transcript from Brady’s appeal hearing was released, basically proving that Goodell lied in his ruling to make Brady look dishonest. On the surface, it sure seems like Brady and his legal team won the first battle in court.
