Could Ryan Tannehill land with Jets?
Ryan Tannehill has been a regular starter for the Miami Dolphins, but he may have to accept a different role with the two sides looking likely to part ways.
If Tannehill does leave the Dolphins, according to Chris Mortensen, one landing spot could be as Sam Darnold’s backup with the New York Jets where he’d be reunited with Adam Gase, his former coach in Miami.
Store this away: if the Dolphins move on from Ryan Tannehill, @mortreport notes on NFL LIVE to keep an eye on the Jets and Adam Gase as a landing spot as a back-up to Sam Darnold.

New York’s backup in recent years, Josh McCown, is a free agent. It is not clear what his future is.
It has been reported that Tannehill will, at some point, get his release from the Dolphins. He hasn’t shown the ability to consistently win as a starter, but he’d probably be a quality starter for someone and the Jets seem as solid a landing spot as any.
