Sashi Brown: Brock Osweiler will have chance to compete for Browns’ starting job
Quarterback Brock Osweiler may yet have the opportunity to stick with the Cleveland Browns going forward.
General manager Sashi Brown praised Osweiler on Wednesday, telling reporters that he will have the chance to compete for the team’s starting job.

It may be wise to take this with a grain of salt. It has been reported that the Browns do intend to get rid of Osweiler one way or another, who was acquired essentially as a means of buying a draft pick. He’s still on the roster, so Cleveland is essentially obligated to acknowledge that, but we’ll see if that changes after the draft — or if Brown is telling the truth and Osweiler will get the opportunity to supplant Cody Kessler.
