The son of a WWE legend has received a six-game suspension from the NFL for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
Brock Rechsteiner, the son of WWE icon Scott Steiner, received a six-game ban for “violating the NFL-NFLPA performance-enhancing substances policy,” the league said in a statement. Rechsteiner, a wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints, is still eligible to take part in preseason activities.

Typically, PED suspensions are four games for first-time offenders. However, the penalty can be increased to six games if a player attempts to manipulate a test result. It is not clear if that is what happened here, as the league has offered no specific details.
Rechsteiner caught 36 passes for 383 yards and five touchdowns for Jacksonville State last season. He went undrafted and is seeking to catch on to an NFL roster, or at least a practice squad. Because the suspension only applies to regular season activities, he will still have the chance to prove himself to the Saints before rosters are cut down to 53.
Steiner was one half of the Steiner Brothers wrestling duo in the 1980s and 1990s. He was also a WCW Triple Crown Champion, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022 as half of the Steiner Brothers.
