Geno Smith, Drew Lock had the most wholesome exchange after game-winning Seahawks drive
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith was nothing but proud of his backup Drew Lock during their team’s Week 15 win Monday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Lock led the Seahawks to a game-winning drive with less than 2 minutes to play at Lumen Field in Seattle, Wash.
Seattle trailed 17-13 and faced 3rd-and-10 when Lock connected with wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba for an unreal 29-yard touchdown (video here). The Seahawks held on for a 20-17 win over the Eagles.
Lock immediately looked to Smith after the TD throw. The two Seahawks QBs celebrated together — one on the field, one on the sidelines.

Lock finished 22/33 for 208 yards with 1 touchdown and no interceptions. He performed admirably despite the public uncertainty about Smith’s availability for Monday’s contest.
There were a lot of questions about who the Seahawks’ QB1 would be after the team traded away Russell Wilson before last season.
Smith won the job over Lock and led Seattle to the playoffs last season. But it’s clear that both men are happy to see the other succeed.
The win improved the Seahawks’ record to 7-7 and snapped their 4-game losing streak.
