Seattle Seahawks safety Bud Clark’s toughness was on full display in a clip making waves on social media.
The Seahawks rookie was carted off the field after suffering a serious ankle injury during his team’s preseason game Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Clark sustained the injury during Seattle’s first defensive snap of the game.
The NFL released a clip of Clark’s conversations with his attending trainer and head coach Mike Macdonald as a teaser for an upcoming episode of “Hard Knocks.” The TCU alum maintained a surprisingly positive attitude throughout the ordeal.
Trainer: “Yeah, you’re hurting; I know it. I know. You’re a tough son of a b—h, though.”
Clark: “Yeah, we gravy. We gravy.”
Macdonald: “We got you, Bud.”
Clark: “Hell yeah, coach. We all gravy. It hurts like a b—h, though.”
Macdonald: “I bet.”
Bud Clark kept a positive attitude after his injury 🙏

Clark remained even-keeled in the follow-up conversation with the trainer, despite clearly sensing that the injury he sustained could keep him out for a long time.
The Seahawks officially announced Tuesday that Clark had sustained a broken ankle, ending his season before it even began. But if the clip above is any indication, the 24-year-old seems mentally ready for the grind to get back on the field.
