Thomas Rawls isn’t full go yet, and the Seattle Seahawks will treat their season opener essentially as another preseason game for the running back.
Coach Pete Carroll revealed that Rawls will be on a snap count for the Seahawks’ game against the Miami Dolphins, via ESPN’s Sheil Kapadia. It will be viewed for all intents and purposes as a second preseason game, and the team is taking a wait and see approach with Rawls to see how he feels after coming through the game.
It’s good news if you’re a fantasy owner who bought into Christine Michael after a strong preseason. Rawls won’t be healthy for a bit, and Michael will likely get the chance to stake his claim for a lot of carries this season.
