Steelers’ cart was not working so Mason Rudolph had to be carried off field
Why wasn’t Mason Rudolph taken away on a cart after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Earl Thomas in the third quarter of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ game against the Baltimore Ravens? It’s a good question, and at least part of the reason is due to an issue with the team’s cart.
CBS showed a few workers having to push the Steelers’ cart around Heinz Field, apparently because there was an issue with it.

Reporter Dave Lolley said the cart ran out of gas.
Good thing Rudolph didn't need the cart. It's now getting pushed off the field. Apparently rant out of gas. #Steelers #dkps

It’s unclear whether Rudolph wanted to walk off on his own and declined the cart, but he ended up being helped off the field without being driven away.
Rookie Devlin Hodges entered the game in place of Rudolph, who was diagnosed with a concussion.
