After it initially appeared 2015 would be the final season of Steve Smith’s career, the veteran wide receiver had a change of heart and decided to return in 2016. It appears he has some unfinished business to tend to when that happens.
Back in October, Smith left a game between the Ravens and Steelers with a back injury sustained when he was hit by Antwon Blake and Lawrence Timmons. However, Smith blamed Mike Mitchell and went as far as to say Mitchell is on his “lifetime hit list.”
Fast forward to now and Smith hasn’t buried the hatchet with Mitchell. In fact, Smith still seems intent on confronting his former teammate about what happened during that Thursday night game against Pittsburgh.

While on a recent visit to ESPN, Smith stopped by the Russillo and Kanell Show and talked about, among other things, his feelings toward Mitchell.

Well, alright then. Smith is among the more fiery players in the NFL today, or maybe ever so I can imagine sparks will fly when he and Mitchell are in the same general vicinity. The fact that he’s already anticipating a fine likely means this won’t be the last time we hear about Steve Smith and Mike Mitchell.
That first Ravens-Steelers game next season is going to fun.
