Terrell Suggs has been durable and productive over the past several seasons despite the fact that he is now well into his mid-30s, and he is not planning to retire just yet. With his contract expiring, it’s fair to wonder if he might have to play for a new team in 2019.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, that may not be the case. Suggs is still planning to return for a 17th season next year, and the Ravens have interest in bringing him back.
Despite his contract being up, Ravens’ LB Terrell Suggs will play this year in what will be his 17th NFL season, per source, and Baltimore is interested in bringing him back.

Suggs, 36, has missed just one game since 2013. He had seven sacks last season and 11 the year before, so he is clearly still capable of getting after the quarterback. His 132.5 career sacks rank 13th all time in the NFL, and he needs just five more to break into the top 10.
While some comments he made recently made it seem like he might not be back with the Ravens, Suggs almost certainly would prefer to remain in Baltimore. It remains to be seen if he will have to take a discount to make that happen.
