Tennessee Titans fans only needed one week to decide they had seen enough of the 2026 iteration of the team.
The Titans opened their season with a 23-10 home loss to the New York Jets at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. on Sunday. The same old offensive issues were on display, as the team only tallied 195 total yards and were overmatched for the entire day.
Late in the fourth quarter, a group of fans could be heard on the television broadcast chanting for the firing of new head coach Robert Saleh.

One Titans fan was even more brutal, as he could be heard telling “bring back Whisenhunt.”

Ken Whisenhunt was the Titans’ head coach in 2014-2015. The team went just 3-20 under him, so that is not exactly an era anyone should be nostalgic for.
Even though the chant was probably at least somewhat tongue-in-cheek, Saleh getting that treatment in his first game as head coach is not exactly encouraging. Somehow, however, the Titans might have still avoided an even worse fate by making that hire.
