Tom Brady was heavily booed during his UFL championship appearance

Tom Brady holding the UFL championship MVP trophy

Tom Brady isn’t exactly the most popular man in St. Louis.

On Sunday, Brady made his FOX broadcasting debut during the United Football League championship held at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Mo. The Birmingham Stallions won their third-consecutive UFL title via a 25-0 shutout against the San Antonio Brahmas.

Brady was tasked with awarding the UFL Championship MVP Trophy to Stallions quarterback Adrian Martinez. The 7-time Super Bowl winner was greeted with loud boos from the crowd while he presented the trophy.

St. Louis no longer has an NFL team. But that doesn’t mean fans have forgotten about the “Spygate” scandal that Brady’s New England Patriots were involved in during the 2000s. The Patriots had allegedly videotaped opposing teams’ signals, which may have helped them garner success during Brady’s early years.

Brady’s first-ever Super Bowl win was against the St. Louis Rams back in 2002. The Rams were heavily favored in the contest, but ended up losing 20-17 to a then-unproven Brady.

Sunday wasn’t the first time Brady got booed by fans and it probably won’t be the last.
