Did Tom Brady spend two preseason games engaging in a stealth protest against the NFL?
The answer may be yes, as spotted by a Twitter user via Michael Hurley of CBS Boston. In both of the preseason games Brady appeared in, the NFL shield decal was conspicuously missing from his helmet.

The obvious motive, of course, is Brady’s lingering disgust with how the Deflategate scandal played out. It was noted that Brady’s teammates all had the decal on their helmets, and Brady himself did as well in his most recent meaningful game, the AFC Championship Game in Denver.
For now, the NFL has no comment on Brady’s seeming helmet protest.

It seems too blatant to be coincidence. Perhaps that was why Brady needed that pair of scissors that ultimately cost him a preseason game.
