Tom Brady Sr. calls radio show, goes on epic rant defending son (Audio)

On Friday evening, Tom Brady issued a statement on his Facebook page about his suspension being lifted. Earlier in the day, his father called into KGO 810 in San Francisco and had a few words of his own on the matter.

Host Chip Franklin was in the midst of discussing Tom Brady and Tim Tebow when Franklin brought Brady’s father on the air. Things went downhill from there. Franklin calling the younger Brady a “liar” and “big freaking baby” obviously didn’t sit well with the elder Brady, who proceeded to go on an epic rant.

“When you say Brady is a liar, you better be careful because you don’t know what the heck you’re talking about,” Brady Sr. said. He also called Roger Goodell a “flaming liar”, citing the cases of Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson as examples. Brady Sr. also called Franklin “full of crap” alleging he hadn’t read any of the articles and followed any discussions about Deflategate over the past six months.

The conversation came to a close with Brady Sr. calling the NFL a “kangaroo court” and telling Franklin to know the facts if he’s going to be on the radio. Franklin responds by saying Brady Sr. is taking the facts as a father would and going to a news break.

After listening to him for nearly five minutes, it’s easy to see where Tom Brady’s on-field demeanor comes from. Now, all we need is another response from Chris “Mad Dog” Russo.
