Twitter ruthlessly mocks Tom Brady for botched trick play
The New England Patriots found themselves in a situation that they don’t have a lot of experience with during Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, and Tom Brady ended up embarrassing himself because of it.
Facing a 3rd-and-7 late in the second half and trying to spark their offense by any means possible, the Patriots ran a trick play where Brady caught a pass from Julian Edelman. It looked like the 41-year-old had nothing but daylight in front of him, but he lost his balance and came up short of the first-down marker.

While a defender was closing in quickly, Brady probably would have gotten the first down if he kept his feet. The Patriots, who were trailing 27-10 at the time, were called for a false start on the next play and ended up turning it over on downs.
Twitter had a field day with how uncoordinated Brady looked on the play:

While that wasn’t quite as embarrassing as the way Brady botched a similar trick play in the Super Bowl last year, it certainly wasn’t his most graceful effort.
