Tyreek Hill had huge surprise in his list of 5 best QBs

Tyreek Hill has not seemed thrilled with the Miami Dolphins in quite some time, and it is possible the star wide receiver has lost faith in his quarterback.

When Hill was first traded to the Dolphins three years ago, he could not heap enough praise on Tua Tagovailoa. That theme continued last offseason, when Hill included Tagovailoa in the All-Pro receiver’s list of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL.

Less than a year later, that list has changed. Hill was asked the same question during a recent Q&A session with fans on social media. In “no order,” he rattled off Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield and Joe Burrow.

Tagovailoa did not make the cut.

Hill loves Mayfield and also included him in the top five last July, which was the biggest surprise of that list. The other four quarterbacks were Tagovailoa, Mahomes, Jackson and Dak Prescott. Allen and Burrow were viewed as the snubs on Hill’s previous list, and it appears they have replaced Prescott and Tagovailoa for 2025.

Of course, you could make the argument that these lists — especially when an athlete is being asked on the spot — mean nothing. What Dolphins fans will find concerning is that Hill was Tagovailoa’s loudest cheerleader at one point. There is no way Hill would have left Tua off of any list like that prior to last season.

Hill openly vented his frustrations following the 2024 season and indicated he wanted out of Miami. He later apologized and said he wants to remain with the team, but he has fueled speculation once again in recent weeks with his cryptic social media activity.

The Dolphins do not seem to be shopping Hill in trade talks, but the 31-year-old has continuously raised questions about his own future in Miami. His seeming lack of confidence in Tagovailoa will be viewed as one the latest.
