Vernon Davis seems nothing short of delighted to be moving on to greener pastures.
After spending his entire career with the San Francisco 49ers, Davis was traded this week to the Denver Broncos. He goes from a 2-6 team to one that is 7-0. Not only that, but he goes from a quarterback who was just benched in Colin Kaepernick to a future Hall of Famer in Peyton Manning.
Upon meeting with reporters Wednesday, Davis said he was going to have to get used to winning again. He also delivered a harsh criticism of his former team.

Vernon Davis on the 49ers and his drop in production: "Tough to be able to play with a team where you don't have everything you need."

Vernon Davis asked about his drop off a couple years back: "Look at the team. So many things going on, so much turmoil. No one excelled."

It’s hard not to view Davis’ comments as a shot at Kaepernick. Previous reports said he got into fights with a teammate over the QB, so we’re guessing that’s what he meant when he talked about not having everything he needed.
This is not the first time we’ve heard about problems between Davis and Kaepernick, and we know he supported previous QB Alex Smith. It should be no surprise that he’s not leaving the 49ers drama behind him.
