Report: Vikings land kicker Dan Bailey
The Minnesota Vikings have the kicking upgrade they needed.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Vikings have waived kicker Daniel Carlson and have brought in former Dallas Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey to replace him.

Statistically, Bailey is the second most accurate kicker in NFL history, having converted 88.15 percent of his field goal attempts during his time with the Dallas Cowboys. His financial demands had apparently been high, but the Vikings couldn’t afford to pass him up.
It is a deal that makes a lot of sense for both sides. The Vikings, who see themselves as Super Bowl contenders, badly needed a kicking upgrade. Bailey, one of the most accomplished kickers in the NFL today, goes to a team that could win it all.
