Warren Sapp’s ex-wife Jamiko says he owes her $3 million
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Warren Sapp filed for bankruptcy back in 2012, and his ex-wife claims he is still nowhere close to having his financial affairs in order.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Sapp has not paid more than $3 million in back support that he owes to his ex-wife Jamiko, who is the mother of Warren’s two children. The documents, which were filed Monday in Florida bankruptcy court, indicate that Sapp has only paid around $8,000 of the debt.
Sapp has spoken openly about his financial issues in the past, admitting that he had a series of real estate deals that went sour and ultimately chose bankruptcy over going to jail. His massive Florida mansion — which you can see here — was sold at an auction in November 2012.
Assuming Sapp is on the hook for the $3 million (and it sounds like he is), he could be in the hole financially for quite some time.
