Broncos kicker Wil Lutz had great comeback for booing Saints fans
Wil Lutz did not exactly receive a warm welcome in his return to New Orleans on Thursday night, but the Denver Broncos star got the last laugh both on the field and via social media.
Lutz spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Saints. He was one of the most reliable placekickers in the NFL for much of that time. Despite that, fans booed the veteran during his first field goal attempt on Thursday night at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La.

Lutz drilled the 46-yard kick right down the middle to give the Broncos an early 3-0 lead. He then converted three more field goals to help lift Denver to a 33-10 victory.
After the game, Lutz had a great response for a fan who said the veteran was “booed out the building.”
“Ehh, I think we know who was getting booed out the building. All love WhoDatNation,” Lutz wrote on X.

Lutz is right. Saints fans were not happy with their team’s performance, which is why many of them left long before the game ended. Star running back Alvin Kamara even shared his thoughts on the mass exodus.
The return to New Orleans went about as well as it could have for Lutz and Broncos head coach Sean Payton. Lutz’s victory lap was just the icing on the cake.
