Ex-Titans WR Rishard Matthews signing with Jets
The New York Jets have dealt with some injuries at the wide receiver position this season, and they are turning to a former Tennessee Titan in hopes of adding some depth for rookie quarterback Sam Darnold.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that free agent receiver Rishard Matthews has agreed to a deal with the New York Jets.

Matthews, a seventh-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2012, had 65 catches for 945 yards in his first season with the Titans in 2016 and then 53 receptions for 795 yards last year. He had also been a big red zone contributor, scoring 13 total touchdowns in those two seasons.
Terrelle Pryor has dealt with a groin injury for much of the year, and Quincy Enunwa has been out after suffering a sprained ankle in Week 6. Matthews missed time in training camp with a knee injury and then seemingly found himself buried on the depth chart in Tennessee, but all indications are that he is healthy now and ready to contribute.
