Zac Stacy faces five new charges for alleged domestic violence
Zac Stacy is facing new charges for an additional alleged domestic violence incident with his ex-girlfriend.
Stacy was in headlines in November after his ex-girlfriend Kris Evans released videos that appeared to show Stacy beating her up inside her apartment. Stacy went on the run, but the former NFL running back was arrested and charged with two felonies.
Now, TMZ reports that Stacy is facing five new charges for an incident that allegedly took place with Evans on August 16, 2021. Stacy is facing three misdemeanor domestic violence battery charges and two misdemeanor criminal mischief charges.
When she previously filed for a restraining order, Evans wrote about an August assault.
“He physically assaulted me several times because he wanted the money back he gave me for our rent,” Evans alleged. “He punched my legs, slapped me, picked me up by my arms, and threw me into my window, which broke. I had glass in my feet that I removed myself.”
It’s unclear whether that August incident Evans previously described is the one that led to the new charges against Stacy.
Stacy played four seasons at Vanderbilt from 2009-2012. He was drafted by the Rams in 2013 and rushed for 1,355 yards and 9 touchdowns over three seasons in the NFL.
