Khloe Kardashian only officially divorced Lamar Odom after being proved multiple times over that the former NBA player was incapable of repairing their relationship.
News broke Tuesday that Odom and Kardashian are finally making their divorce official over a year and a half after Khloe initiated the move.
Why did it take them so long? Because the two tried to work things out but Odom did not take the matter seriously enough.
Odom reportedly kept relapsing with drugs and was “too far gone.” This is no surprise considering a report said he was recently doing heroin. Khloe also tried to schedule multiple therapy sessions, but Odom blew most of them off with lame excuses, TMZ reports.
Kardashian signed the divorce documents last week with a clear conscience knowing she had done everything she could to make the relationship work. Is there any surprise that Khloe ultimately signed the divorce papers around the same time that reports emerged saying she and James Harden were dating? Not at all.
