Don’t you just love it when an athlete gets all person and shares a picture on Instagram of them spending time with their family? It shows us there’s more to them than just playing sports, and most importantly, it shows us that they’re a #familyman.
But sometimes an attempt to show everyone what a #familyman they are backfires, like it did with Ty Lawson.
The Denver Nuggets point guard shared a picture on Instagram Saturday of his baby daughter on a bed playing with a basketball. #adorable #cute #basketballintheblood #likefatherlikedaughter
Only one problem: the mother of the baby, Ashley Pettiford (pictured), put Lawson on blast for not being involved in the girl’s life. Take a look at the comment she left on his picture as pointed out by MediaTakeOut:

Lawson and Pettiford were both arrested last year in a domestic violence case. Ty was accused of pushing Pettiford while she was six months pregnant with their baby. They later supposedly said it was a misunderstanding and that they were working things out. That obviously didn’t go too well.
We have no idea who’s the good parent and who’s the bad one and whether or not Lawson is even a flake … but this was too funny not to post. FYI it looks like Ty deleted her comment — shocker.
