How do the Washington Capitals prepare for a playoff game? With a proper test of their equipment, of course.
The Capitals shared a video on Twitter Thursday before Game 4 of the team’s first round playoff series with the Carolina Hurricanes that shows Alex Ovechkin and John Carlson giving each other a cup check before the game:

The video was amusing, but the Caps probably weren’t amused by seeing the Capitals score in the first 20 seconds of the game to grab a 1-0 lead. The good thing is the guys knew the cup check was coming, unlike when it happened to Sean Doolittle.
