Washington Capitals fans have 20 years of celebrating to do and are taking advantage of their moment.
The Caps beat the Tampa Bay Lightning on the road in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1998. Though the game was on the road, many fans gathered to watch the game at the Capital One Arena and then celebrated in the streets afterwards.
The Caps will meet the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Finals. It seems like the fans are ready for that matchup. They chanted “We want Vegas!” while celebrating in front of the National Portrait Gallery in DC.

Caps fans have been rightfully excited over their team. They also were pumped while watching it at the team’s home arena.
