Watch: Devante Smith-Pelly scores goal while falling down
Devante Smith-Pelly tied Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Thursday night with a pretty goal while he was falling to the ice.
Smith-Pelly stopped a pass/shot with his skate and kicked it out to himself for a shot attempt. He somehow managed to get a perfect shot on goal to beat Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury while he was going to the ice.

The goal tied the game at three in the third period and helped provide some momentum for Washington. The Capitals got a goal from Lars Eller a few minutes later to take the lead 4-3 over Vegas.
And how’s this for a stat? Smith-Pelly now has as many goals in the postseason (seven) as he did during the entire regular season.
