Usain Bolt has unquestionably been one of the stars of the Rio Olympics. On Saturday, he received a shoutout from one of the world’s premier soccer players.
Bolt, of course, won gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and 4×100 relay events during this year’s Olympis. Among those to congratulate him on his accomplishments was Cristiano Ronaldo, who did so via his Twitter account.

Like the Jamaican star, Ronaldo is among the more recognizable athletes on the planet and has experienced his fair share of success this year as well. In May, he helped Real Madrid capture their 11th Champions League title. Then, he was part of the Portugal team that won the European Championship for the first time in the country’s history.
One thing that’s cool about the Olympics is seeing the mutual respect athletes for each other. This is just another example.
