Ryan Lochte has new girlfriend – Amanda Sauer
Ryan Lochte has been one of the most eligible bachelors in the country the past few years, but we can safely cross him off that list … for now.
Lochte, who has won 11 Olympic medals during his swimming career, publicly stated in an interview with WCNC that he has a new girlfriend.
“I want to settle down and I can honestly say now, I’ve done so many interviews where everyone has asked, ‘Are you single, are you single?’ I’m like yeah, that was the case, but now I can say that I’m seeing someone,” Lochte told WCNC.
“She lives here in Charlotte. So I’m actually … I’m enjoying it, it’s different.”
Lochte told interviewer Michelle Boudin that he met his girlfriend, Amanda Sauer, at a bar and that she didn’t know who he was, which he liked. She is a sixth-grade teacher and soccer coach.
Lochte has only been dating Sauer for a few weeks, but he feels so good about it he was comfortable sharing their story with the media.
“(It’s been long) enough that I’m saying it on TV. I’m happy, she keeps me happy. We do a lot of fun stuff together. Last weekend we went to Carowinds,” Lochte says.
And just how serious is their relationship? It’s Instagram serious.
