Tom Daley concerned about green Olympic pool

British diver Tom Daley and his synchronized diving partner Dan Goodfellow won the bronze medal in the men’s 10m platform on Monday. But Daley couldn’t help but notice that the very same Olympic pool where they had competed in was looking quite different the next day.

Watching from the stands in Rio on Tuesday, Daley took to Twitter to express concern over the greenish hue that appeared to have come over the pool.

That looks…less than ideal. Either Yoda found his way into the synchronized swimming competition or some subsequent Olympic divers could be in for an extremely rude awakening. For Daley, he has a right to be concerned as he is still scheduled to dive in the men’s individual 10m platform.

Of course, the overall conditions in Rio have been substandard throughout the Games, so this is really nothing new. Let’s just hope that whoever gets into that pool doesn’t wind up coming out looking like a Muppet.
